With the epic and The Flash crossover episodes set to air in a few weeks, many fans are eagerly awaiting to see what unfolds in the episodes that are set to launch Legends of Tomorrow. In fact, even Arrow star could barely hold in his own excitement during a recent interview with .
Although Amell did not go into any large details concerning the upcoming crossover episodes, he did state that they will be a huge part of both series moving forward. This is definitely good news for fans, and should mean that some pretty epic things are in store for the episodes.
With that in mind, what can fans expect to unfold in the upcoming episodes? Luckily, The CW has officially released the synopsis for both episodes, which actually reveal a lot about the events that are set to take place in the merging of the two shows.
The first of the crossover episodes is titled “Legends of Today,” and will feature the villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) making his way to Central City. Savage’s plan is to kidnap Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee), to which end Kendra and Cisco rely on Barry for help.
However, things quickly get out of hand for Barry and his team as Savage proves to be difficult to take down. In order to get some extra assistance, Barry makes a trip to Star City to enlist the help of Oliver. Although this seems like a good move to make, Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) shows up to make matters worse and he flies away with Kendra in tow.
Elsewhere in the episode, Harrison creates a new serum that will allow Barry to run faster than ever before. However, before he gives it to Barry to try, he has Jay (Teddy Sears) give it a little test run.
Meanwhile, the follow-up episode, titled “Legends of Yesterday,” will see Barry and Oliver safely securing Kendra and Carter Hall in a secret location. With Kendra and Carter out of harm’s way, Felicity, Diggle, Laurel and Thea join up with Team Flash to figure out a way to defeat Savage.
At the same time, a meeting apparently goes wrong between Vandal, Green Arrow, and The Flash. Exactly what happens as a result of this meeting is unknown, but fans can read the entire synopsis for both episodes at .
Based on what was revealed in the synopsis, it is clear that there will be a lot of major developments during the crossover installments. Not only are Barry and Oliver set to face down one of the worst villains to date, but the episodes will also introduce a number new characters. This sense that the episodes will be large in scale and scope is also something that Gustin also confirmed in a recent interview. “It feels even bigger,” Gustin explained to TV Line . “I feel like more people are a part of it this year from both sides, and we’re tying in Legends, obviously, so it’s just bigger.”
The highly anticipated Arrow and The Flash crossover episodes are set air on December 1 and December 2 on The CW.
